Winery Business Training and Support Program
Project Description
The Winery Business Training and Support project provided training for winery and vineyard owners and key staff, helping them develop business acumen and business skill sets through classes, workshops and one on one technical assistance sessions. Training was delivered during the wineries’ slow periods to ensure better participation rates. This training was designed to improve operations and help local wineries to better compete in the worldwide marketplace.
This project was designed to specifically target wineries in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York.
Outcome from Using the Product
- Provide transferable skills to the local workforce
- Support the operations and growth of local wineries and vineyards, and help them to better compete in the global marketplace
